ISO TO BE INCLUDED IN NATIONAL PUBLICATION ARTICLE

IRVING, TX: Good News! The ISO has been selected for inclusion in a spring 2010 issue of Symphony Magazine, a national publication. Mr. Trace J Boyd, President, was contacted on September 17 by Mr. Bob Sandla, Editor-In-Chief of Symphony Magazine regarding the ISO’s forward thinking artistic direction. Mr. Sandla then facilitated contact between Mr. Boyd and lead writer Daniel Kushner. A 45-minute phone interview ensued on Friday, October 23. The forthcoming article will feature progressive orchestras around the country that are incorporating complimenting artistic material in symphonic productions.

In its metamorphic 09|10 season, the ISO is being recognized in meaningful ways as a progenitor of musical experiences that create greater access and larger audiences, many of whom are being exposed for the first time to the world’s most enduring music.

National notoriety of this kind will serve the ISO well in future grant requests, branding and public relations and is the result of the effective matrix of board, maestro and management.

Maestro Guzman states, “This marks a giant ‘first’ for the ISO. I’m delighted that we at the ISO are distinguishing ourselves uniquely in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan region.”

While maintaining the organization’s commitment to the fidelity and credibility of the world’s most enduring music, event patrons can look for the ISO to stage symphonic productions in ways many people have never dreamt of. Mr. Trace J Boyd, President, states, “This new approach to our unique musical product is changing our very identity as we emerge to become the region’s most original professional symphony orchestra. We’re taking active steps to deconstruct the standard symphony experience and re-imagine it for the next generation of music lovers.”
